The National Weather Service in Lake Charles has issued a

* Flood Advisory for... Northwestern Beauregard Parish in southwestern Louisiana... Vernon Parish in west central Louisiana... Tyler County in southeastern Texas... Newton County in southeastern Texas... Northern Hardin County in southeastern Texas... Jasper County in southeastern Texas...

* Until 1000 PM CDT

* At 700 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Radar indicates rainfall amounts of 3 to 4 inches have already fallen across the area and additional rainfall amounts up to 2 inches will be possible the next few hours. This will cause minor flooding in the advisory area.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include... Jasper, Leesville, Silsbee, Woodville, Newton, Kirbyville, Kountze, Rosepine, Merryville, Anacoco, Colmesneil, Chester, Rockland, Town Bluff, Thicket, Toledo Bend Dam, Ebenezer, Fred, Bon Weir and Burkeville.

* AFFECTED AREAS: VERNON
