Traffic stop leads to arrest of Haubstadt woman on DUI charge. 
On March 24, 2018, at 12:42 a.m. Sgt. John Fischer conducted a traffic stop on a Grey 2017 Cadillac Escalade for making several unsafe lanes on US 41 near County Road 1025 South. Upon approaching the vehicle Sergeant Fischer detected the odor of alcohol coming from the driver 39 year old Winter Walker of Haubstadt. At that point Sergeant Fischer began a DUI investigation that resulted in Ms. Walker being taken into custody and transported to the Gibson Jail. Upon arriving at the Gibson Count Jail Ms. Walker was charged with Operating a Vehicle While Intoxicated/ Refusal and Resisting Law Enforcement. She has since posted a $650 bond.
Assisting Sergeant Fischer in his investigation was officers from the Fort Branch Police Department and Princeton Police Department.
All Criminal defendants are to be presumed innocent until, and unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
