The Ventura County Sheriff’s Office and Ojai Police Department, are seeking the public’s help in identifying two suspects responsible for vehicle burglary, identity theft and unlawful use of a credit card. 10/28/2017, at approximately 0800 hours, the victim parked her gray Ford F-150 in the parking lot at the trailhead located on Rice Road, just south of El Roblar Drive in the unincorporated area of Ojai. She locked her vehicle and walked down the trailhead to paint. At approximately 1230 hours, the victim returned to her vehicle and discovered her doors were unlocked. She discovered that her vehicle had been burglarized and numerous personal items were stolen from her vehicle. Among those items was a purse with credit and debit cards. On 10/28/17, at approximately 1215 hours, the suspects (pictures attached) were seen on surveillance using the victim’s stolen debit cards at Bed, Bath & Beyond and at Target in Ventura. One of the clerks believed the couple spoke to each other in Russian. Ojai Police is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect and/or providing information to assist in resolving this crime. Please contact Detective Regan at 477-7038 with any information.
