ROHNERT PARK, CA – On 03/23/18, Rohnert Park Public Safety Detectives arrested 55 year old Randall Cover of Santa Rosa on allegations that he had molested a girl that used to be his stepdaughter and one of her friends. In 2013, Randall’s then 11 year old former step daughter had disclosed that he had been molesting her continuously while he was married to her mother, when she was 8 years old. The case was investigated at that time, however there was not enough evidence to make an arrest. In August of 2017, a friend of Randall’s former stepdaughter disclosed that Randall had also molested her when she would go over to their house, at around the same time the original victim disclosed. Rohnert Park Detectives began investigating that report, and re-opened the 2013 case into the allegations made by his former stepdaughter.

During the investigation into both cases, additional evidence was obtained and Detectives got an arrest warrant for Randall for two counts of Lewd and Lascivious Acts with a Child Under 14, and one count of the Continuous Sexual Abuse of a Child. Detectives located Randall on 03/23/18 and arrested him on the warrant, and he was booked into the Sonoma County Jail on $250,000.00 bail. Detectives ask that if anyone has any information regarding these cases or Randall Cover, or if there are any additional victims that have not yet come forward, please call (707)584-2630.

END.
