WHAT: Missing Person At-Risk: Kristen Marti

UPDATE:
The investigation into the disappearance of Kristen Marti has led investigators to several locations in the County where they believe evidence of her disappearance will be recovered.

On Sunday, March 25th, the San Luis Obispo Police Department in conjunction with the San Luis Obispo County Sheriff’s Search and Rescue Team as well as other assisting agencies will be conducting a large scale search in Prefumo Canyon. The focus of the search is to locate Kristen as well as any evidence that might help investigators determine what happened to her on January 9th 2018.

Investigators from SLOPD have partnered with staff from the Sheriff’s Search and Rescue Team who have extensive training in searching large areas for both missing individuals and evidence of crimes.

Search teams will be working at several undisclosed areas in the County on Sunday as well as Prefumo Canyon where the biggest impact to the community will be. Search teams will be out on foot and K-9 teams will be working with off-leash search dogs. If you’re in the area please drive with caution as quick turns in the road will make for dangerous conditions for the search teams who are on foot as well as their K-9 partners.

The San Luis Obispo Police Department would like to thank the Sheriff’s Department and the staff from Search and Rescue as well as our K-9 allies coming in from across the state to help in the search for Kristen.

On 01/18/18, San Luis Obispo Police Department took a missing person’s report for Kristen Marti, who has not been seen since 01/09/18. She was last seen in the 1800 block of Perfumo Canyon Road, in a parked maroon colored sedan, with an unknown adult aged male. Kristen Marti frequents hotels in the San Luis Obispo County area. Kristen Marti has not been in contact with family or friends since 01/09/18, which is unlike her. Anyone with any information pertaining to Kristen Marti’s whereabouts is encouraged to contact San Luis Obispo Police Department at 805-781-7312.
