Please avoid downtown WC on 3/24/18 11:00 AM - 2:00 PM due to the "Everytown Against Gun Violence" march. 
The Walnut Creek Police Department is asking motorists and pedestrians to avoid driving and walking in the downtown area of Walnut Creek on Saturday, March 24, between 11:00 AM and 2:00 PM due to the planned "Everytown Against Gun Violence" rally and march.
We are anticipating a high number of participants in this event and are asking you to help us minimize the significant traffic backups and other issues this event may cause. The downtown streets most effected by the march include Civic Drive, Broadway, Mt. Diablo Blvd., Main St. and Locust Street. Please avoid these streets in particular during the aforementioned time frame.
