The North Brunswick Township Schools will have a 90 minute delayed opening tomorrow, Thursday, March 22nd. Please note that the district will reassess overnight and send a follow up before 6 am to confirm the delayed opening or change the status of the school to closed. This is the final storm update. The snow is continuing at a moderate rate and is expected to continue for about four or five more hours. Police are reporting hazardous driving conditions, avoid driving tonight due to slippery conditions.
Plow trucks are working to clear the roadways and will continue to work throughout the night, until all roads are passable. Please do not park on the streets until all plowing operations have been completed. This will most likely be tomorrow. The department of Public works appreciates you assistance with keeping the roadways clear for plowing.
Remember to report any downed power lines to PSE&G at 1-800-436-7734. Also keep away from downed wires, and never drive or walk over downed wires. Do not move traffic cones that have been placed to block off roadway hazards like downed wires, broken trees or flooded roadways, this practice could be deadly.
Please use extreme caution and allow extra time for your morning commute. if possible delay your departure to allow plow crews to restore the roadways to a safe condition. Stay safe.
