Winter Storm Warning / 12-16 Inches Expected Tonight (3/20) and Wednesday (3/21)

THIS IS A SPECIAL MESSAGE AND ADVISORY FROM THE TOWNSHIP OF SADDLE BROOK OFFICE OF EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT.

A WINTER STORM WARNING IS IN EFFECT FOR THE SADDLE BROOK AREA. HEAVY SNOW IS EXPECTED IN OUR AREA WITH ACCUMULATIONS OF 12 TO 16 INCHES. WITH THIS BEING A WET, HEAVY SNOW, DAMAGE TO TREES AND POWER LINES IS POSSIBLE. DRIVING IS EXPECTED TO BE EXTREMELY DANGEROUS AND IS DISCOURAGED.

SNOW IS EXPECTED TO BEGIN LATER THIS EVENING, CONTINUE OVERNIGHT AND BECOME HEAVIER DURING THE DAY WEDNESDAY (MARCH 21, 2018)

SADDLE BROOK RESIDENTS ARE REMINDED TO REMOVE ALL PARKED VEHICLES FROM TOWNSHIP ROADWAYS FOR SNOW PLOWING AND SALTING OF ROADS. TOWNSHIP ORDINANCE PROHIBITS THE PARKING OF VEHICLES ON ROADWAYS WHEN SNOW OF 2 OR MORE INCHES HAS ACCUMULATED ON THE ROADWAY. POLICE WILL BE ENFORCING AND ISSUING SUMMONSES TO VEHICLES PARKED ON TOWNSHIP ROADWAYS.
