...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 6 AM TO 6 PM EDT TUESDAY... ...WINTER STORM WATCH IN EFFECT FROM LATE TUESDAY NIGHT THROUGH WEDNESDAY EVENING...

* WHAT...Wet snow expected Tuesday, with total wet snow and sleet accumulations of up to an inch, along with a thin layer of ice. Additionally, heavy wet snow possible Tuesday night and Wednesday, with a total wet snow accumulation of 5 or more inches possible.

* WHERE...Northern Maryland, the northern Shenandoah Valley, and far northwest suburbs.

* WHEN...For the Winter Weather Advisory, from 6 AM to 6 PM EDT Tuesday. For the Winter Storm Watch, from late Tuesday night through Wednesday evening.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Plan on slippery road conditions, including during the morning commute on Tuesday. Be prepared for reduced visibilities at times. Plan on difficult travel conditions. Significant reductions in visibility are possible.
