Advisory

Two Day Storm - Tuesday into Wednesday - 4 to 8 inches of snow

WEATHER ADVISORY

Our local weather service has issued an advisory for a complex, long-duration winter (Spring) storm Tuesday-Wednesday.

The forecast is shaping up to be a long and complicated storm. The most complex part is on Tuesday as snow/sleet tries to push in from the south. This hits a wall and at some point, it cuts off. We think this cut off may be a bit more north and a good portion of central New Jersey into steady snow/sleet during the afternoon and early evening.

Elsewhere, this falls as snow and sleet, with sleet being a big player and the chance this is heavy and prolonged enough to see all pavements cover with sleet (that can happen quickly). Later Tuesday evening and some of the overnight gives a breather as the mix lightens and stops at times.

It fills back in towards morning and we'll ramp up once again with a strong coastal storm that changes everything to snow midday to PM. There is growing confidence in this part of the storm producing an accumulating snowfall.
