Detectives arrest 8th suspect from Petaluma home invasion robberies.

Detectives from the Sonoma County Sheriff’s Office have made an eighth arrest in last week’s home invasion robberies in Petaluma. All eight suspects were from the East Coast, primarily Richmond, VA and Winston-Salem NC. They broke into three Petaluma homes on Eugenia Drive on March 12th, tied up occupants and pistol whipped one occupant. They were looking for marijuana but got the wrong homes. Four men were arrested after a pursuit to Novato and three men were arrested later in the evening at SFO Airport trying to board a plane to the East Coast.

The eighth suspect was identified as Jade Lafay Johnson, a 19-year-old woman from Winston-Salem NC. Detectives secured a $1,000,000 arrest warrant and worked closely with detectives from the Winston-Salem Police Department. Johnson was arrested on Thursday, March 15, 2018 during a traffic stop in Winston-Salem. She was taken into custody without incident.

Detectives from Sonoma County flew to North Carolina over the weekend and interviewed Johnson. She is being held on $1,000,000 bail and the extradition process is expected to bring her to Sonoma County to face trial.
