Single Car Rollover


Sheriff Richard Behnke of the Cass County Sheriff's Office reports that on 03/17/2018 at 2043 hrs his Deputies were called to a crash on Highway M-60, near Reum St, in Howard Township, Cass County Michigan. The driver a (34 yr old Niles resident, Shawn Hoover) was driving on M-60 along with passenger (58 yr old Niles resident David Crespo) when the driver lost control of the vehicle, and ended up rolling the vehicle after going through the culvert dividing M-60. Both Shawn and David were transported by EMS to South Bend Memorial for their injuries. Seat belts were worn during this crash. Alcohol was believed to be a factor in this accident.

Assisting agencies were the Michigan State Police, Niles Township Fire Department, and SMCAS Ambulance.
