Narrative:
On March 15, 2018, at approximately 9:20 AM, the staff of Phoenix School contacted the
Camarillo Police Department about a threat to the school.
Staff at Phoenix School, located at the Camarillo Airport, received information about a possible
threat to the school. Phoenix School followed their protocols and immediately notified law
enforcement. Camarillo Patrol deputies and investigators responded to the school. As a
precaution, Phoenix School, ACE Charter School, and Frontier High School were placed in a
lockdown for a period of time.
After a thorough investigation by Camarillo Detectives, it was determined no threat had been
made and no crime had occurred. No arrests or citations were made in relation to this incident. .
No students or staff members were injured during this incident..
The Ventura County Sheriff’s Office and Camarillo Police Department take all threats of violence
against school campuses seriously and will investigate them fully.
