Motorists traveling on Kalihi St. this afternoon are asked to drive with extra caution and should plan for traffic slow downs as Board of Water Supply (BWS) crews continue to repair a broken 8-inch water main at the intersection of Kalihi St. and Manaiki Pl. Repairs are expected to continue throughout the night.
Only one lane remains open at the site and special duty police are alternately contra-flowing traffic to allow cars in and out of Kalihi Valley.
Meanwhile, the BWS continues to keep 4 water wagons positioned throughout the affected area of the 63 customers who lost water service when the main broke last night. They are positioned at:
- 2456 Nalanieha St.
- corner of Kula Kolea St. and Kula Kolea Pl.
- 2304 Kula Kolea St.
- 2417 Naai St.
