Hockley County Sheriff's Office calls for service and activities for Monday, 3/12/18. 
Good Tuesday morning! The following are calls for service and activities for the Sheriff’s Office for Monday, 3/12/18.
-FM 300 at Evening Tower Rd, Levelland: Check Welfare. A deputy was dispatched to check on an individual walking along FM 300 westbound. The individual was contacted and released. No offenses were reported.
-1310 Avenue H, Levelland: Fraud. A deputy met with a complainant regarding a fraud incident. Based on the information, a report was taken for Credit/Debit Card Abuse. The incident is under investigation.
-2600 blk Robert Lee, Levelland: Fire. A deputy responded to a complaint of an individual possibly burning trash on the roadway. The Fire Department also responded. No one was located burning any items on the roadway.
-Alamo Rd at E. Ellis, Levelland: Disturbance. A deputy was dispatched to a disturbance between two individuals waking along Alamo Rd. The individuals were contacted and both were determined to have warrants for parole violations. Both individuals were arrested and transported to the jail without incident.
-Hwy 114 at Leon Rd, Smyer: Reckless Driver. A deputy was notified of a reckless driver traveling toward Levelland on the highway. The area was checked and the vehicle was not located.
-FM 1585 at FM 303, Sundown: Assist Sundown PD. A deputy responded to assist a Sundown PD officer with a traffic contact. The deputy assisted as needed until the stop was cleared.
-2700 blk Belvedere Rd, Levelland: Threat. A deputy was dispatched to a residence regarding a terroristic threat. During the discussion the complainant advised the incident occurred in Levelland. A Levelland PD officer later met with the complainant to file the offense report.
Deputies also conducted close patrols/vacation watches, patrols in all areas of the county, investigative follow-up activities, civil process service, and traffic enforcement activities.
Jail population as of 3/13/18 at 0800 hours: 47 in Hockley County, 4 to be processed, 15 out of county.
