INCIDENT:  2018-1717  DWI  Possession of Marijuana under 50 grams & Fugitive
 
DATE & TIME OCCURRED:  01/19/18  at  0235 Hours
 
LOCATION OCCURRED:  U.S. Route 1 and Washington Rd.

Arrested:  Lamont K. McRae, Black male, 34 years old
                 Resident of Trenton, NJ 08638
 
OFFICER:  Ptl. N. Barber #591
 
DETAILS:  Ptl. Barber responded to U.S. Route 1 and Washington Rd. on the report of a driver asleep behind the wheel at the intersection. He arrived on scene to find Lamont McRae sleeping in the driver’s seat of his beige Toyota Avalon, in the center lane of U.S. Route 1. During the investigation, it was determined that McRae was DWI, and in possession of a hand-rolled marijuana cigarette. He was also found to be a “Wanted” person out of Mercer County, and also had three arrest warrants from Trenton, and one arrest warrant from Hamilton. He was transported to the Mercer County Corrections Center following processing.

DETAILS:  Ptl. Hojnacki and Ptl. Heath responded to the MarketFair on the report of burglaries to vehicles where the following had occurred: Both victimized vehicles were parked near the Bahama Breeze restaurant, and both had their rear passenger side windows smashed. The vehicles were entered and various items left inside the vehicles were stolen.

DETAILS:   Patrol units were detailed to the Buffalo Wild Wings restaurant on the report of multiple vehicle burglaries where the following occurred:  Four vehicles which were parked in the parking lot had their passenger side windows smashed. In two of the cases, an iPod and MacBook were taken from inside the respective vehicles. Nothing was taken from the other two cars, but the vehicles had been ransacked.

DETAILS:  Ptl. Hojnacki responded to the Lukoil gas station to investigate a motor vehicle crash. During the investigation, it was determined that one of the drivers, Michael Hunger, who was involved in the crash was driving a Ford pickup truck that was reported stolen in December of 2017. Hunger was processed at WWPD Headquarters and released pending future dates at Mercer County Superior Court.

During the investigation, Nancy Mejia was found to be in possession of Xanax without a prescription. She was processed at WWPD Headquarters and released pending future dates at Mercer County Superior Court.

When he returned five minutes later, someone had stolen his backpack which was left on the front passenger seat.

Jany investigated a Burglary to a residence where the following was determined:  While the residents of the home were asleep upstairs, someone entered their home through an unlocked side door. Items including wallets, credit cards, cash, and a cell phone were stolen from the first floor of the residence, but there was no indication that the burglar(s) went upstairs.
