Detectives with the Folsom Police Department in conjunction with Detectives with the Sacramento Valley Hi-Tech Crimes Task Force conducted an investigation regarding online enticement of a 13 year old girl by an adult man.
On Friday, March 9th, Detectives with Folsom PD, the Sacramento Valley Hi-Tech Crimes Task Force and the FBI arrested Christopher Stadel, 34 of Folsom, on suspicion of contacting a minor to commit a felony.
Stadel was arrested at Handy Family Park, in Folsom, last night around 10:00 PM without incident.
Stadel is currently being held at the Sacramento County Main Jail on $600,000 bail. Stadel is also a registered sex offender. (See attached booking photograph.)
Folsom PD Det. Catanio stated, “This is a great reminder as a parent to stay vigilant with your children’s social media accounts. We were very fortunate the police were contacted in this investigation and we had a successful outcome.”
