On 3/8/2018, members of the Fairfield Police Department’s Special Operations Team conducted a probation search of a residence in the 600 block of E Travis Blvd Fairfield. During the search an AK-47 style assault rifle, two (30) round high capacity magazines, 7.62x39 ammunition, .25 caliber ammunition, and .380- caliber ammunition were located. Arrested was 25 year old Fairfield resident Jamal Montgomery for multiple felony violations to include being a felon in possession of an assault rifle, felon in possession of a firearm, felon in possession of ammunition, and probation violation.
