#006 Possession of Methamphetamine
While conducting extra patrols in the Rancho Arroyo neighborhood, due to recent neighborhood complaints, Officer Gigliotti contacted a 58 year old adult male during a traffic stop at approximately 7:40 a.m.  The driver had made a right turn at a stop sign at Riviera Dr. and Rancho Arroyo Pkwy without making a complete stop.     The 58 year old was found to be in possession of methamphetamine.  He was arrested and booked at Santa Rita Jail.
 
#014 Possession of Stolen Property
At 10:17 a.m., Officer Balcorta contacted a well-known probationer in the 43900 block of Ice House Terrace.  The 29 year old Fremont resident was arrested for possession of stolen property. 
 
#023 Trespassing
At 1:02 p.m., Officer Wong and Officer Gigliotti were dispatched to the 41000 block of Cornack Tr on the report of ongoing trespassing issues.  The caller stated a male was sleeping in front of the parking stalls located in the complex.  The male had been previously warnted on at least two different occasions at the same location.   The male was contacted and issued a warning notice of trespass and placed under arrest via the citation issued the day prior for the same issue.  He was transported and booked into Santa Rita Jail for trespassing.

#008 Brandishing a Knife 
Officers were dispatched to an address on Foxtail TR concerning a female trying to stab someone inside a residence.  The reporting party advised dispatch that the knife had been taken away from the suspect and the suspect was being held down.  When officers arrived they found that the suspect only brandished the knife towards some family members.  The female was arrested and transported to Santa Rita Jail for booking. 
 
#004 Commercial Burglary and Vandalism
At 1:30 a.m., workers at the Safeway, located at the Hub, called to report that a subject made his way into the crawl space in the ceiling of the business and had fallen partially through the ceiling several times. When officers arrived, they realized the situation was much larger than what they were expecting.  The first officer on scene noticed approximately 50 ceiling tiles on the floor that were damaged and/or smashed.  Officers set up containment on the building and requested FPD support with ladders and the drone. The ceilings were approximately 25 feet high and difficult to access.  Numerous PA announcements were made within the store and the subject continued to hide. After 45 minutes of searching, the suspect a 29 year old adult male, was eventually located hiding lying in wait for police in a crawlspace.  Since the suspect was not complying with orders to come out, officers utilized pepper balls to assist and the suspect crawled out.  The suspect caused an estimated $20,000 – 50,000 in damage to the ceiling within the store and was charged with felony vandalism as well as commercial burglary. He was booked into Santa Rita.

#020 Shoplifting and Possession of controlled substance
Target loss prevention arrested a subject for shoplifting.  Officers responded and took custody of the 29 year old suspect.  The male was also arrested for possession of a controlled substance and disobeying a court order to stay away from all Target stores in Alameda County.  Case investigated by Officer Richards.

1998 green Honda Civic 4-door – 8BDM439
 
#028 Residential Burglary
A reporting party called to report a house was burglarized in the 37000 block of Bright Co.  Point of entry was through a rear glass slider.  Loss was not determined at the time of the report and is pending. 
 
#004 Auto Burglary
An auto burglary occurred on the 500 block of Privet Terrace at about 3:30 a.m.  The victim’s heard their vehicle alarm go off; however, they were only able to see shadows of the suspect(s), no further descriptions available. 
 
#005 Trespassing
Officer Godrich and Officer Latimer were dispatched to Denny’s in Warm Springs on a report of a nude male in the restaurant who was refusing to leave.  Upon arrival a 57 year old was detained and eventually arrested for trespassing.

The traffic unit conducted a multi-agency traffic saturation enforcement along the I680 corridor as part of the OTS (Office of Traffic Safety) grant.
 
#024 Under the Influence of a Controlled Substance
 
The employee of a local jewelry store activated the robbery panic alarm after a male subject, later identified as a 25 year old adult male entered the store and demanded a piece of jewelry.  The male left the store after the employee told him they were calling the police.  Officers arrived on scene and detained the male and another subject, based on the matching description.  After investigating further, it was determined no robbery took place.  The male was arrested however for being under the influence of a controlled substance. 
 
#034 Petty Theft
 
Officers responded to an initial report of a robbery at the Dollar Store located on Thornton Ave. After talking to the employee, it was determined a theft had occurred.  The investigation revealed two suspects entered the store and walked up to the cash register.  Suspect #2 reached into the register and stole cash.  They were last seen leaving in the suspect vehicle westbound Thornton Ave. 
Suspect #1:   Black male adult in his 30’s last seen wearing a light colored coat.
Suspect #2:   Black female with a noticable mole near her mouth.
Suspect Vehicle: Black four-door sedan possibly a VW.
 
#035 Grand Theft
 
Two suspects entered the Ulta Store at Pacific Commons and both started placing store merchandise in a bag.  The suspects left the store without paying for the 2 bags filled with store merchandise valued at more than $1500.
Suspect 1:  Hispanic female in her early 20's, average build, 5'3", dark hair, last seen wearing a black jacket, black sweats, and red Jordan shoes.
Suspect 2: Asian female in her early 20's, average build, 5'6", long black hair, last seen wearing a black hat, grey hoodie with Nike on the front, black pants, and black shoes.
 
#041 Suspicious Circumstances – Vehicle Fire
Officer O’Neal was dispatched to a report of a vehicle fire.  He found a fully engulfed vehicle on the 3600 block of Independence Rd.  Officer O’Neal documented this as a suspicious circumstance report.  The vehicle was reported to have been having mechanical issues.  He met with Fremont Fire and the vehicle cause was not determined.
 
#045 Vandalism
At 11:01 a.m., Officer Trezwieczynski was dispatched to a report of vandalism at a business in the 39400 block of Fremont Blvd.  A male was seen throwing a vehicle wheel through a store front window.  The 38 year old adult male was located and arrested.  He was booked into Santa Rita Jail.
