INCIDENT: PC 496(d) Possession of Stolen Property, PC 484(g) Theft of Access Card, H&S 11378 Possession of a Controlled Substance for Sales

LOCATION: Garden Lane / Ruby Court, Highland

SUSPECT(S): Jasen Ippolito, 44-year-old, a resident of Highland

VICTIM(S): Pending


SUMMARY: On March 8, 2018, at approximately 12:30 a.m., Deputy Anagnostopoulos was on proactive patrol in the area of Church Street and Greenspot Road when he conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for a traffic code violation. During the traffic stop, the driver, Jasen Ippolito, was found to have two warrants for his arrest. During a search of the vehicle, over five hundred gift cards and other evidence of credit card fraud was located. Ippolito was also found to be in possession of suspected methamphetamine. Deputies served a search warrant at Ippolito's residence where additional evidence of narcotics sales and access card fraud was located. During the investigation, over 500 gift cards were located with possible victims throughout Highland, Redlands and the Riverside area.

Ippolito was transported to the Central Detention Center in San Bernardino and booked for various charges including PC 496(d) - Possession of Stolen Property, PC 484(g) - Theft of Access Card, and H&S 11378 - Possession of a Controlled Substance for Sales. Ippolito's bail was set at $50,000.
