Disturbance call at local motel leads to arrest of two. 
On March 8, 2018, at 12:47 a.m. Gibson County Central Dispatch received a report of a disturbance at the Diplomat Motel located at 1733 S. State Road 57 near Oakland City, IN. Upon arriving Deputy Loren Barchett located the disturbance and began an investigation into the incident. At the conclusion of his investigation he placed 18 year old Anakin Schieve, and 18 year old Hannah Rutledge both of Mt. Carmel into custody and transported them to the Gibson County Jail. At the Gibson County Jail both individuals were charged with Minor Possession of Alcohol and remain in custody.
Assisting Deputy Barchett in his investigation was Oakland City Police Officer Don Carlisle.
All Criminal defendants are to be presumed innocent until, and unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
