The Newark Police Department is releasing information about recent crime and police activity that has occurred within our community. 
March 7th
0937 Hours: Officer Sanpedro investigated the theft of a yellow 2006 E350 Cargo Van (CA license #39851D1) on the 37900 block of Harbor Light Road.
1039 Hours: Officer Wang investigated an auto burglary on the 35200 block of Newark Boulevard. The loss is a Macbook laptop, passport and foreign currency.
1538 Hours: Officer R. Johnson recovered a Honda Civic that was reported stolen out of Fremont on Locust Street at Thornton Avenue. The vehicle was released to the registered owner at the scene.
1715 Hours: Officer Rivas investigated two locker burglaries at 24 Hour Fitness, NewPark Mall. The loss is two wallets, cash and credit cards.
2111 Hours: Officer Smith investigated an auto burglary on the 35200 block of Newark Boulevard. The loss is a laptop computer.
0425 Hours: Officer Hunter investigated the attempted theft of a Ford F250 Pickup on the 37100 block of Sycamore Street.
