Warrant Arrest
Location: Martin Avenue and Lafayette Street
Public Safety Dispatchers deployed officers after receiving a call about a male subject loitering and possibly setting up camp in the area of Martin Avenue and Lafayette Street. A Records check revealed the male subject had a $3,000 warrant for his arrest out of San Jose. He was arrested and issued a Notice to Appear.

Monday, February 26, 2018
Possession of Burglary Tools
Location: Patrick Henry Drive and Tasman Drive
An officer on routine patrol in the area of Patrick Henry Drive and Tasman Drive observed a suspicious vehicle slowly driving in a rear parking lot of a business. The officer made contact with the male driver. A Records check revealed he was on searchable probation. Based on his probation terms, the officer searched his person and vehicle which yielded burglary tools. He was arrested and transported to the Santa Clara County Jail.

Warrant Arrest
Location: The Alameda and Mission Street
An officer observed in a vehicle traveling on The Alameda near Mission Street with expired registration tabs. Using the patrol vehicle’s mobile data computer, the officer confirmed the vehicle’s expired registration and initiated a traffic enforcement stop.
A Records check on the male driver revealed he had an outstanding warrant out of Vallejo. He was arrested and issued a Notice to Appear.

Attempted Burglary
Location: 2100 Block of Sheraton Drive
An officer was dispatched to a residence on the 2100 block of Sheraton Drive on the report of a potential burglary in progress. Upon arrival, the officer made contact with the reporting party. The suspect removed one of the victims' exterior cameras prior to attempting the burglary.
Another officer en route to the call for service was flagged down by a resident on the 2100 block of El Capitan Avenue. The resident told the officer an unknown male jumped off the roof of the residence and exited the side gate of a neighbor.
In both instances, the suspect description matched. The suspect remains at large.

Petty Theft
Location: 2000 Block of El Camino Real
A juvenile male suspect entered Target on the 2000 block of El Camino Real and selected multiple game items and a bottle of liquor which he concealed on his person. The suspect then walked past open cash registers without attempting to pay for the items. He was contacted outside the store by a Target Loss Prevention Officer. The suspect was arrested for petty theft and released into the custody of his father.

Suspicious Circumstances
Location: Poplar Street and Washington Street
Public Safety Dispatchers were made aware of a suspicious circumstance that had recently occurred near the intersection of Washington Street and Poplar Street. According to the reporting party, a Hispanic male driving a red van attempted to lure an adult female subject into his vehicle on four separate occasions. On three occasions, the male suspect asked the victim to get in the car for a ride. On another occasion, the suspect offered the victim money. The female subject returned to her place of employment and contacted Public Safety Dispatchers. The suspect drove away from the scene on southbound Washington Street.
The subject was described as a light skinned, heavy build Hispanic male between the ages of 30-40 with short brown hair and glasses driving a dirty/rusty 1990’s model red Dodge Caravan.

NOTE: Accepting a ride from a stranger can put you in danger. Regardless of how polite the person may be, if they insist they are headed in the same direction or if they offer you something (e.g. money, ice cream, puppy), the Santa Clara Police Department recommends that children or adults do not get in a vehicle with an individual they do not know. While there are trusting people in the world, its not worth taking a chance.

Residential Burglary
Location: 700 Block of Agnew Road
Between 03/02/2018, at approximately 1800 hours, and 03/03/2018, at approximately 0940 hours, an unidentified suspect(s) gained access to the maintenance room of an apartment complex on the 700 block of Agnew Road. The suspect(s) stole tools, fled the scene and have yet to be identified or apprehended.
