Simi Valley Police detectives arrest man for child molest 
On Thursday, March 1, 2018 detectives with the Simi Valley Police Department arrested Phil Anthony Edwards (65) of Simi Valley stemming from allegations he engaged in unlawful sexual conduct with a minor.
Prior to his arrest, Edwards was a daily passenger on public transportation particularly on the west end of Simi Valley where he first encountered the victim. Edwards was booked into Ventura Main Jail on the following charges:
288.5(a) PC - Continuous Sexual Abuse of a Child
288(a) PC - Lewd Act Upon a Child
288a(b)(2) PC - Oral Copulation of a Person under 16
