TRAINING EXERCISE
Several Livingston County public safety agencies, including the Hamburg Township Police Department, will be participating in a training exercise today (March 6th) from 10:00am – 2:00pm at Maltby Intermediate School on Bauer Road near Brighton Road.

This is part of ongoing active shooter training for Livingston County first responders and today’s training exercise will help county and local officials prepare for how to handle the aftermath of an active shooter event. The “reunification” training deals with what happens after the shooter has been neutralized and officials will need to reunite kids with their parents and arrange for how to handle the media that would converge into the area to cover such an incident.

Residents/motorists in the area will see numerous emergency vehicles and personnel around Maltby School today…it is only a TRAINING EXERCISE.
