...MAJOR SNOW STORM EXPECTED WEDNESDAY INTO THURSDAY... .A strong coastal storm will develop south of New England and move into the Gulf of Maine Wednesday evening into Thursday. Though some slight wobbles in storm track may bring a period of mixed rain and snow to areas near the coast early, significant amounts of snow are expected to fall during the overnight as colder air filters south. Heavy snowfall is likely across interior areas south of the mountains Wednesday evening into early Thursday morning. The storm will weaken and drift west Thursday, but snowfall may linger, especially in the mountains, until Friday.
