Weather Advisory
A snow event is expected for Tuesday night and Wednesday. A total of 4 to 8 inches of snow is anticipated. The timing of the snowfall will create difficult driving conditions. Motorists are advised to reduce speeds and allow extra time for their commute.
Hazardous Weather Discussion: After another day in the 40s, a frontal boundary will move in Tuesday night. This will produce snow (and some mixing with rain) overnight, and a coating - 1" potential on colder surfaces by daybreak. Pavements however may just stay wet in spots (with some variable minor coverage) with marginal temps and light intensity. The main coastal storm then forms Wednesday. This will quickly increase intensity through the day, with moderate to heavy snow, especially midday into the early evening. Temps will be 32 - 35 for the most part, but snowfall rates of 1"+ per hour at times will be able to overcome this and cover all surfaces, leading to a widespread plowable event. There is the threat for downed trees / power lines with wet snow and gusty winds, though winds wont be as strong as the last storm; any problems should be isolated, though sensitive areas (from the last storm) have an increased risk.
REMINDER: Please do not park your vehicle on any Township roads during the snowstorm. Township ordinance prohibits vehicles parking on roadways during a snowstorm.
