DUI Driver Arrested with .14 Blood Alcohol Level After Collision

Simi Valley Police Department officers responded to an injury traffic collision near the intersection of Royal Ave. and Tapo Canyon Rd. on 03/04/18 at approximately 7:45 a.m.

When the officers arrived at the scene they observed a Chevrolet Sonic on its roof, approximately 165’ east of the intersection, within a private parking lot. As the investigation progressed, it was determined that 27-year-old Alexandria Manor of Lancaster was the driver and sole occupant of the vehicle. Physical evidence revealed Manor was traveling eastbound on Royal Ave. and failed to stop for a stop sign at Tapo Canyon Rd. She entered the driveway of a Bank of America office building on the east side of the intersection at speeds in excess of 65 mph. Her speed, combined with the slope of the driveway entrance, caused her vehicle to become airborne prior to traveling through a security fence. The vehicle, subsequently struck a parking stall tire block, which somersaulted the vehicle end over end. After colliding with two trees and a concrete wall, the vehicle came to rest on its roof within a landscaped area.

Manor was transported to Simi Valley Hospital for minor injuries. During the investigation, she provided breath samples with a result of .14 blood alcohol level. She was arrested for Driving Under the Influence.
