Advisory

For current storm information as it relates to Mt Kisco visit ; http://www.mountkiscony.gov/news_detail_T6_R213.php

Village officials have been in regular communication with State and County officials as well as representatives from Con Ed throughout the storm yesterday and today.

There are currently 61,191 customers without power throughout the Con Ed service territory. In Mount Kisco, there are 1,218 out of 5,075 customers that are currently without power. Con Ed is still securing all of the downed wires and damaged infrastructure throughout its service area to ensure public safety. Please keep your distance from any downed wires that you may encounter.

At this time we have not been advised of any expected timeframe for restoration of power. As a result, we have made arrangements to have the Mount Kisco Public Library remain open until 6pm today, and from 11am until 3pm tomorrow, Sunday March 4th so that residents without power have an opportunity to charge electronic devices, stay warm, and use the facilities.

The Boys and Girls Club will also be open tomorrow Sunday March 4th from 12pm to 6pm for those that are looking to take a hot shower, but please be advised that you will need to bring your own towel and toiletries.

DPW crews worked throughout yesterday, last night, and today ensuring that the roads and municipal lots were free of snow, ice, and debris and ensuring that all vital systems and facilities remained in operation. In those instances where trees and debris are entangled in wires, the Village stands ready to assist Con Ed in cleaning up these areas, but cannot do so without Con Ed personnel present to ensure that the wires are not live.

Lexington Avenue has been reopened in the area between Kiscona Avenue and Radio Circle Drive.

Croton Avenue between Emery Street and the Saw Mill River Parkway remains the only road closure in the Village at this time.

We will continue to work with all involved agencies to ensure complete restoration for all Mount Kisco residents, businesses, and property owners.
