The Town of Yorktown State of Emergency Declaration has been extended through 8:00 AM, Sunday, March 4, 2018.
Yorktown Town Supervisor Ilan Gilbert has extended the Declaration of a State of Emergency in the Town of Yorktown through 8:00 AM, Sunday, March 4, 2018. Eighty Five Percent of Yorktown Power Customers are without power. Multiple roads are closed, with power lines entangled in trees partially closing other roadways. Multiple Traffic Signals are inoperable. Power Restoration cannot take place until roadways are cleared. Roadways cannot be cleared until power companies first cut the power to downed lines, allowing town crews to remove the trees. Please check with your utility provider regarding restoration efforts. All non essential driving is banned in the Town of Yorktown until Sunday, March 4, at 8:00 AM.
