Multiple traffic lights are inoperable in the Town of Yorktown. If you are exiting main thoroughfares such as the Taconic State Parkway @ Route 6, please do not attempt to make a left hand turn off of the ramp. That applies to all busy intersections. Travel a bit out of the way by making a right hand turn, until you can reach a safer intersection where a left hand turn can be accomplished.
As nightfall approaches, motor vehicle operators will not be able to observe debris from trees or power lines that may be down on the roadways. Drivers may not see low hanging trees across roadways. If you choose to drive in these weather conditions, you truly are taking an unnecessary and very dangerous risk.
