38 year-old man arrested for suspected burglary of 3 vehicles during a funeral service.
On January 22, 2018, three victims reported their cars were burglarized while they attended a funeral service in the 48000 block of Warm Springs Blvd. Shortly after, their stolen credit cards were used at the Walmart on Osgood Rd. followed by a transaction at the Target store located at Pacific Commons.
Investigators gathered video surveillance from multiple businesses and obtained images of the suspect using the stolen credit cards.
License Plate Cameras and business cameras led to the identification of suspect Ahmad Samuels (38 years old out of Fresno). Fremont Patrol Officers authored an arrest warrant for Samuels and members of the Street Crimes Unit arrested him at the Newpark Mall in Newark on February 8, 2018.
Samuels was booked for multiple counts of burglary, identity theft, and unauthorized use of credit cards.
