High Wind Warning until 01:00AM Saturday

...HIGH WIND WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 10 PM THIS EVENING TO 1 AM EST SATURDAY... The National Weather Service in Charleston has issued a High Wind Warning, which is in effect from 10 PM this evening to 1 AM EST Saturday. The High Wind Watch is no longer in effect.

* WINDS...Northwest 20 to 40 mph with gusts up to 60 mph, especially on higher ridge lines.

* TIMING...Tonight through Friday afternoon.

* IMPACTS...Strong winds may bring down large limbs and some trees. Scattered power outages are expected.

* AFFECTED AREAS: NORTHWEST POCAHONTAS ... SOUTHEAST RANDOLPH

Instructions:

A High Wind Warning means a hazardous high wind event is expected or occurring. Sustained wind speeds of at least 40 mph or gusts of 58 mph or more can lead to property damage.
