Update on Officer Involved Shooting on Crowley Lane
On February 28, 2018, at approximately 3:40 PM officers assigned to a joint unit comprised of Solano County Sheriff’s Deputies and a Fairfield Police Detective attempted to make a stop of a pedestrian on Crowley Lane. During the stop, a shooting occurred resulting in the 22-year-old local male suspect being shot. The scene on Crowley Lane was quickly cordoned off, and medical assistance was provided to the suspect prior to his transportation to a local trauma center where he remains in critical condition.
A joint investigation was initiated into the circumstances of the shooting, involving personnel from both the Solano County Sherriff’s Office, the Fairfield Police Department and the Solano County District Attorney’s Office. At 10:00 PM the crime scene processing was completed, and travel restrictions on Crowley Lane were lifted.
Further information will be released as it becomes available. The investigation into this incident continues.
