0830 Hours: Officer Pacheco investigated the theft of copper pipe from MacGregor School, 35753 Cedar Boulevard.

0958 Hours: Officer Cervantes investigated an auto burglary on the 6000 block of Joaquin Murieta Avenue. The loss is miscellaneous tools.

1605 Hours: Officer R. Johnson recovered a Honda Civic that was reported stolen out of Livermore on the 37800 block of Birch Street. The suspect that had been driving the vehicle, a 51-year-old Newark female was located nearby and was arrested for possession of a stolen vehicle, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a controlled substance. The suspect was booked into the Santa Rita Jail.
While assisting on the above case, Officer Fredstrom contacted and arrested a 45-year-old Newark male for possession of burglary tools. The suspect was issued a citation and released at the scene.

2251 Hours: Officer Norvell investigated an auto burglary on the 37100 block of Birch Street. The loss is a stereo.

2347 Hours: Officer Hunter investigated two separate auto burglaries in the NewPark Mall parking lot. The loss is a MacBook Pro and a duffle bag containing clothing.
