Beginning Thursday, March 1st, 2018, The East Side Sewer Relief Project on East Avenue will progress to the 8th Street intersection. The East Avenue and 8th Street intersection will be completely closed to all traffic for a week or two. The East Avenue and 7th Street intersection remains closed for the next few days. The 7th Street residents will need to access their residences from Middle Avenue, making 7th Street a two-way street.
There is no pass through traffic permitted on East Avenue between 6th and 8th Streets. There are many obstacles and hazards in the roadway and the sidewalks as there are many construction activities, equipment and materials staged for this project.
The residents in the East Ave Sewer Relief Project work zone will be notified daily as to how they can access their driveways.
Drivers should use the detour routes for East Avenue of Middle Avenue and East River Street. The detour routes are posted.
