Sheboygan Police officers responded to a two vehicle injury accident at Erie Ave and N 11^th St today at 2:40 pm. Erie Ave was shut down in both directions for approximately 30 minutes. A Sheboygan woman was transported to a local hospital for non-life threatening injuries.
 
As many of you are aware, we are asking the public to give extra thought to how they drive in an effort to make our streets safer. Today’s accident was completely preventable. Some of the contributing factors were speed and failing to yield from a stop sign. Always give yourself extra time so you’re not in a rush and drive the speed limit. Always come to a full stop at a stop sign and carefully scan for traffic and pedestrians. These simple steps can make a huge difference! #CarInGearBrainInGear
