**FINAL UPDATE**
Peninsula Av between Airport & Bayshore is now CLEAR. For motorist and bicyclist be cautious, the roadway at southbound Airport to westbound Peninsula is slick due to clean up materials that appears like sand and remains on the roadway.  Signs are posted.  Thank you for the patience.  


**UPDATE**
We are still clearing the traffic collision at Peninsula Av between Airport and Bayshore. Continue to expect traffic delays. Anyone looking to take US Highway 101 northbound from the north end of San Mateo please use 3rd Av and Broadway on ramps to the freeway.

This was a truck that overturned on southbound Airport to westbound Peninsula. There was a unified reponse from SMPD and SMFD to assist with traffic control and clean up of debris that fell from the truck. There are no enviromental impacts and the vehicle will be cleared shortly.

Please avoid the area of Peninsula between Airport and Bayshore due to a overturned big rig truck. The area will be closed for several hours. Expect traffic delays in the area, including northbound US Highway 101. Notification will be made once the area is cleared.  Thank you.
