The Walnut / Diamond Bar Sheriff's Station wants to advise it's residents and businesses in the area, of a construction alert notice regarding the series of 55-hour weekend lane and ramp closures on the Pomona Freeway (SR-60) between Fairway Drive and Brea Canyon Road as part of the Lemon Avenue Interchange Project currently under construction by the Alameda Corridor-East Project (ACE).

To construct the merge areas for the new on- and off-ramps, two lanes will be closed on alternating sides of the freeway between Fairway Drive and Brea Canyon Road, with alternating closures of the on- and off-ramps at both exits. These remaining closures will also take place over the next three weekends to avoid inconveniencing weekday rush hour commuters. The second of four 55-hour weekend closures will take place this weekend, February 23rd through the 26th . Each closure period is expected to begin at 10 p.m. on Friday and last continuously until 5 a.m. on Monday, when all lanes will reopen for the morning commute.
