Good Thursday morning! The following are calls for service and activities for the Sheriff’s Office for Wednesday, 2/21/18.
-1100 blk Avenue D, Levelland: Assist Levelland PD. Deputies responded to a reported bomb threat at Levelland Intermediate School. Personnel from multiple agencies also responded to assist. Levelland PD is handling the criminal investigation into the incident.
-3100 blk Adobe Rd, Levelland: Theft. A deputy met with a complainant regarding a stolen dirt bike. Information about the motorcycle was collected and entered into the state and national database. A report was completed and the matter is being investigated.
-800 blk Avenue A, Levelland: Assist Levelland PD. Deputies assisted with apprehending an individual related to felony warrants. The individual fled Levelland officers and was captured. One person was booked into the jail on multiple charges related to the incident.
Deputies also conducted close patrols/vacation watches, patrols in all areas of the county, investigative follow-up activities, and civil process service.
Jail population as of 2/22/18 at 0800 hours: 49 in Hockley County, 3 to be processed, 6 out of county.
