Obstruction of Justice Arrest

(Etowah County, Alabama) A Rainbow City woman has been arrested in connection to using a false identity to obstruct justice, according to Sheriff Todd Entrekin.

“Katadra Carstarphen Cooper, 40, of Rainbow City, is charged with one count of obstructing justice - using false identity,” Deputy Josh Gaskin said.

When Deputy Gaskin conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle that Cooper was driving she gave her daughter’s information and three different social security numbers in an attempt to avoid an outstanding warrant for her arrest. Cooper was wanted for negotiating a worthless negotiable instrument (NWNI).

Cooper was booked into the Etowah County Detention Center on $2,500 bond for the obstructing justice-false identity and $1,000 bond for NWNI.
