Flood Warning until 01:45AM Thursday

The National Weather Service in Lake Charles has issued a

* Flood Warning for... Northwestern Rapides Parish in central Louisiana... Vernon Parish in west central Louisiana...

* Until 1045 PM CST

* At 745 PM CST, Doppler radar indicated between 4 and 6 inches of rain have fallen across the area today. Scattered showers are expected to continue this evening, but heavy rainfall has diminished. Streamgages across the area indicate water levels are near crest or have crested recently. Flooding is expected to continue the next few hours but the risk of flash flooding has decreased.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include... Leesville, Rosepine, Anacoco, Lena, Fort Polk, Slagle, Deridder, New Llano, Lacamp, Fullerton, Hutton, Clifton, Flatwoods, Otis, Burr Ferry, Kurthwood, Leander, Sieper, Gardner and Cravens.

* AFFECTED AREAS: RAPIDES ... VERNON
