(Etowah County, Alabama) An Attalla man has been arrested in connection to burglary and theft of property, according to Sheriff Todd Entrekin.

“Kenneth James Dillard, 32, of Attalla, is charged with one count of third degree burglary and one count of first degree theft of property, both are felonies,” Lieutenant Robin Grant said.

Dillard admitted to breaking into a building, located on Norman Drive, Attalla, and stealing thousands of collectible baseball cards worth an estimated value of $3,000. The cards were in storage boxes and three-ring binders.

The collectible cards were recovered in an outbuilding located on Highway 11 South, Attalla. They have been returned to the rightful owner.

Dillard was booked into the Etowah County Detention Center and later released on $7,500 bond.
