The National Weather Service in Fort Worth has issued a * Flood Advisory for Minor Flooding in Poor Drainage Areas for... Denton County in north central Texas... Tarrant County in north central Texas... Collin County in north central Texas... Dallas County in north central Texas... * Until 845 PM CST. * At 451 PM CST, Doppler radar indicated a broad swath of showers and thunderstorms that were producing heavy rainfall across much of the DFW Metroplex. Excessive runoff from these thunderstorms will cause minor flooding. Areas that are low lying or usually experience poor drainage are most likely to experience flooding. This means some low water crossings in the region may become impassable. Up to 1.5 inches of rain has already fallen. Additional rainfall of one to two inches is expected over the area.
