...Breezy and Gusty Southerly Winds Today... .A tight pressure gradient between a low pressure system in the Southern Plains and high pressure ridging in from the Western Atlantic will produce quite breezy and gusty southerly winds. These elevated winds will continue through the afternoon hours before decreasing before sunset. ...WIND ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 6 PM CST THIS EVENING... The National Weather Service in Lake Charles has issued a Wind Advisory, which is in effect until 6 PM CST this evening.

* TIMING...Now through 6 PM CST.

* WINDS...South 20 to 25 mph with gusts to 35 mph.

* IMPACTS...Loose lawn objects will be blown around. Travel may become difficult, especially for high profile vehicles, on open roadways and bridges.
