Detectives arrest two subjects wanted for the February 2nd Armed Robbery at Salon 360

DATE: February 2, 2018/ 11:00 p.m.

Carrying a Concealed Weapon by a Convicted Felon
Carrying a Loaded Handgun, not the owner

LOCATION: 9200 block of Archibald Avenue, Rancho Cucamonga

SUSPECT: Chad Harris, 36-year-old from Moreno Valley
Dwayne Otis Williams, 35-year-old from Victorville

SUMMARY:

On February 2, 2018, at 11:00 p.m., deputies from the Rancho Cucamonga Police Department responded to a robbery alarm at Salon 360. Deputies arrived at the business and learned a robbery just occurred. Two black male adults entered the store with firearms, forced a victim to their vehicle and stole a significant amount of money from inside the vehicle, along with a cell phone. During the robbery, the victims were forced into the bathroom before the suspects fled the scene.

Through investigation, deputies located the victim's stolen phone in a trash can at a gas station in the City of Victorville. The phone was recovered by Victorville City deputies and suspect leads were developed.

On February 9, 2018, detectives were in Victorville reviewing video surveillance at the gas station when a black male adult who matched the description of one of the robbery suspects entered. Detectives contacted Chad Harris and detained him. A loaded handgun was recovered from Harris’ pants during a cursory search. It was determined Harris was involved in the robbery. Harris was arrested and booked at the West Valley Detention Center for; Kidnapping, Carrying a Concealed Stolen Weapon, Carrying a Concealed Weapon by a Convicted Felon and Carrying a Loaded Handgun, not the owner. His bail is $250,000. The second suspect was identified as Dwayne Williams; an arrest warrant was issued for him.

On February 15, 2018, Williams was taken into custody outside of his residence with the assistance of the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department, Specialized Enforcement Division. A search warrant was served at Williams’s home in the City of Victorville. Detectives recovered clothing worn during the robbery, handgun magazines and loose ammunition. Williams was booked into West Valley Detention Center for Robbery and Kidnapping, with a bail of $450,000.
