Three injured in two vehicle crash.



Sheriff Richard Behnke of the Cass County Sheriff's Office reports that deputies responded to a two vehicle traffic crash at the intersection of M 60 Hwy and M 40 Hwy in Cass County's Newberg Township. This crash occurred on 2-19-2018 at 12:40pm. Investigation of the crash showed that a vehicle, driven by Woody James (96yrs of Three Rivers) was east bound on M 60 Hwy and failed to stop at the stop sign at the intersection of M 40 Hwy. Mr. James' vehicle struck a south bound vehicle, driven by Kenneth Garn (77yrs of Marcellus). Mr. James was injured in the crash and was transported to Three Rivers Hospital via Newberg Ambulance. Mr. Garn and his passenger, Geraldine Garn (75yrs of Marcellus) sustained minor injuries, but are seeking treatment privately. All involved were wearing their seatbelts and alcohol was not a factor in the crash. The crash remains under investigation.
