“The Perth Amboy Police Department takes the events that occurred in our City over the past week very seriously, as such we continue to take swift appropriate action against crime. Gun violence has no place in our community, as it is my utmost priority and concern to keep our residents safe and secure. As you travel throughout the City in the coming days and weeks, in order to combat this recent violence you will see an increased police presence of both uniformed and non-uniformed officers deployed in many different neighborhoods. I commend the training, professionalism and work of the Police department as a whole and trust in their ability to continue to protect our City,” said Mayor Wilda Diaz.
