Widespread freezing temperatures are likely Sunday thru Wednesday with lows in the 20s and lower 30s.

Cold overnight low temperatures expected Sunday through Wednesday which could drop into the teens due to forecasted winds. Homeless shelter capacity is temporarily increased. Please check in at the Hope Center 1301 Fourth St. for a bed.
Forecast models show a cold weather system dropping south from Canada into northern and central California starting Sunday when temperatures will plummet during the day.  Patchy freezing temperatures are possible starting Sunday night with additional and more widespread colder nights likely beginning Monday night and lasting through Wednesday. During this colder period, widespread lows in the 30s can be expected with interior locations in the 20s.
This will likely be a dry system with very light precipitation. If precipitation does occur, current forecast models indicate precipitation will be mainly confined to the far North Bay on Monday.
Locally gusty winds will occur between Saturday night and late Sunday night.
