Advisory

3-6 inches of snow possible Saturday night/Sunday morning, use caution while driving

The Office of Emergency Management advises residents that a moderate snowstorm is in the forecast for Saturday night through early Sunday morning with the potential for 3 to 6 inches. Snowfall rates at times could reach one inch per hour.

There still is some uncertainty regarding some of the finer details and snow totals, but it does look to be a primarily snow event with most of the mixing staying to the south. This is going to be a mid-March like storm and the snow will be very wet and sticky.

Because of intensity and night-time, pavements shouldn't have too much issue accumulating and likely get close to the full amount predicted on colder surfaces.

There is the potential for a short period of heavy snow which could lead to a rapid deterioration in road conditions, with significant reductions in visibility. Please use caution if you are traveling Saturday night or early Sunday morning.

Township OEM will provide updates as conditions warrant.
